Equestrian
Samantha Bayer was encouraged by her mother, an avid equestrian, to begin riding at two years old. “Sammy” competes in seven different riding events; showmanship, horsemanship, trail, western riding, reining, and working cow horse. Among her numerous awards, in 2008 she won the American Quarter Horse Y A in Reining and in 2010 World Champion in Working Cow Horse. Her horsemanship and academic achievements at St. Mary’s School qualified her for a full athletic scholarship to compete next year on the equestrian team of Texas Christian University.
