Class of 2018-19: Gwen Mortensen

Gwen Mortensen is a 18 year old senior at North Medford High School. She has been doing woodworking since her freshman year. She placed 2nd at SkillsUSA State in Novice CAD in 2017, 3rd in Cabinetmaking in 2018 and, 2nd in Technical Drafting in 2019. In 2018 she represented Oregon in Cabinetmaking at SkillsUSA Nationals placing in top 30 in the nation. Gwen plans to attend University of Utah to major in Mechanical Engineering but plans to, in the future, have her own wood shop and have her own custom furniture business as well.
