Class of 2017-2018: Dean Jackman

Dean Jackman, an 18-year-old senior at South Medford High School has been making videos since he was nine years old and has been writing scripts and stories since he was thirteen. For his senior project, Dean is writing, directing, and producing a web-series in collaboration with a group of talented peers. His scripts have won several playwriting competitions at his high school, and in May of 2017 placed second at the Oregon State Theater Festival. In addition to writing and filmmaking, Dean participates in speech and debate and is an actor for South Medford Performing Arts. Dean will be attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles to study screenwriting in the fall of 2018.
