Children will learn breathing and stretching techniques to help them with big emotions like anger.
TEACHER: Kristin Schmidt/Lone Pine ElementaryDESCRIPTION: In this episode, students will learn to compare and contrast two versions of the same story with a Venn Diagram. Mrs. Kristin Schmidt (Lone Pine) will read students the fractured fairytale, Little Red’s Riding ‘Hood. Students will then practice comparing and contrasting the story with the traditional tale.
Kristen Robinson, Kennedy Elementary School, in this episode ties together learning with creativity and magic. Your student will read about a unicorn who becomes famous. They’ll practice reading comprehension by finding the main character, setting and major plot points. Plus, Kristen Robinson (Kennedy) will walk your student through a fun unicorn craft.
Kristen Robinson of Kennedy Elementary School, & Katie Cutsforth of Jacksonville Elementary, in this episode teach students to tap into their inner ninjas as they learn to identify parts of a book including the title, author and illustrator. Students will practice addition and subtraction using movement with ‘Ninja Math.’ Plus, they will use a toilet paper roll to create their own ninja.
In this episode, students will practice long and short vowel sounds, and will also practice the days of the week and how to observe weather each day. Katie Custforth, Jacksonville Elementary School, is the instructor in this video.
Katie Custforth, teacher at Jacksonville Elementary School, in this episode engages student in fun activities relating to reinforcing vowels, measuring and counting. Your student will practice using manipulative to make equations. They will also get a chance to measure items to determine whether what is bigger and smaller.
In this episode, young learners will hear two books on the topic of making good choices. They will then come along with Kristen Robinson (Kennedy Elementary) to learn how to compare and contrast the two books. A bonus to this episode includes Katie Cutsforth (Jacksonville Elementary) with ideas on how to help guardians set up a schedule.
TEACHER: Kristen RobinsonDESCRIPTION: In this episode, your student will practice solving word problems by using objects like cars and bunnies. They’ll get a chance to practice higher level thinking as they work through the problems.
In this episode, students will help Miss Britt choose the right outfits to wear depending on the weather outside. This cognitive learning experience includes read-alouds and music to engage your student.
Kristen Robinson, teacher at Kennedy Elementary & Katie Cutsforth, teacher Jacksonville Elementary, lead your student in the practice of reading comprehension (with activities) around the book ‘The Little Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick.’ Students will listen to the book, take part in activities revolving around the book and make their own books.
Kristin Schmidt, of Lone Pine Elementary, leads your student in the reading and analysis of two fractured fairy tale stories based on the Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs. They will also learn how to identify character traits as they listen to the books.

DESCRIPTION: Get ready to learn about bats while practicing writing and comprehension skills. In this episode, your students will read a book, use a Venn diagram and learn about a bat’s life cycle. Optional: To participate in the game, grab a pen and piece of paper.

DESCRIPTION: In this two part episode, challenge your brain by learning how to do some creative thinking. In this STEAM episode, students will learn the steps to creative thinking and challenge themselves to stretch their thoughts beyond the stories they already know.

DESCRIPTION: In the second part of this STEAM episode, students will learn the final step to creative thinking. Students will learn how to write down the ideas they’ve come up with through the first three steps.

DESCRIPTION: Practice your double vowel sounds in this episode by going on a vowel round-up. Students will also get to make their own vowel book. Optional: Get some paper, a brown paper bag, stapler and a pen to make your own vowel book.
TEACHER: Katie Cutsforth/Jacksonville ElementaryDESCRIPTION: Your students will get in touch with their creative side when they make their own The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Optional tools include paper, grocery store ad, glue stick, marker and stapler. Students will practice skills writing, using scissors and glueing when they paste their favorite foods in their own book.

DESCRIPTION: This episode will help beginner readers to recognize the sounds two vowels make together. They’ll learn helpful tips to remember the sounds, they’ll practice those sounds and even learn how to play vowel games they can create themselves.
Kristen Robinson, teacher at Kennedy Elementary, and teacher Katie Cutsforth (Jacksonville Elementary) lead your student in writing letters to their family and friends in this interactive lesson. This lesson will teach your child how to understand what they’re reading and how to respond. They will also learn basic elements of writing a letter.
Join Katie Cutsforth, Jacksonville Elementary School, in several activities to help your student practice their letter recognition and sounds. Students will reinforce letters and sounds with sign language. They will also practice creating sentences.
