This weekend, the national PBS NewsHour broadcast will feature a story that hits close to home. The segment, aired in episode 1264, is titled "Battle Over Oregon Pipeline: After years of debate, a controversial natural gas project is inching toward a conclusion."
A description of the segment as sent out by PBS NewsHour Weekend reads:
There has been a protracted battle underway in Oregon over a proposal to build a 234-mile natural gas pipeline and a processing terminal in the southern part of the state. After years of regulatory limbo and debate, pitting those hungry for economic development against those wary of the project's environmental risks, that fight is now moving closer to a conclusion. NewsHour Weekend's Christopher Booker reports.
